Notes:
Updates from Principal G: Biggest update is that we are not going to be going hybrid. Looking forward to focusing on virtual instruction and improving it. Student of the month visits have been really fun. Half days will continue until Monday and regular schedules will resume on Monday or Tuesday (need to double check). Ventilation reports should be available within the next 2 weeks.
Project updates
Supply Drive: Do any purchases need to be made by HSA via previous supply drive money or Scholastic account? Do we need to do a new supply purchase+distribution OR “refill” supply purchase+distribution? $2641 remaining / $7475 in scholastic. Funding request system has been focused mostly on boxed curriculum. Not many teachers have been asking for notebooks, pens, etc (more basic stuff). We still have pencils, notebooks, etc. at school. If students need anything, they should contact the school. School staff will take an inventory this week. We need to make sure there is a very clear way for families to request school supplies if they are in need. Make an announcement with what is available, and include instruction on who to contact to pick up.If more supplies are needed, HSA can purchase. No need to do another drive.
Potential social justice-oriented fundraiser - updates from Mr. G and next steps: Will give the kids a big say in what this event will be. Lea and Penn Alexander council kids will meet to come up with event ideas - will meet next week.
Rich is working with Christ Community Church to work on a Thanksgiving giveaway - will let us know if they need help
Other ways to support the Lea family right now?
With virtual being a long-term thing now, families are trying to figure out what to do. Not sure what HSA can offer in this sense.
Gifts for staff? ~100 people on staff -- Dunkin/Wawa gift card with a Lea yard sign or other Lea swag? Mr. Gerwer will get list to HSA and do deliveries with Mr. Brown We’ll give families an opportunity via Dojo to contribute (asap - before Thanksgiving is ideal) HSA will assemble and bring to Lea. Volunteers: Rachael, Aynna, Miriam, Megan
Reading challenge over winter break? Something fun that gets kids prizes? (e.g. read a certain number of minutes over winter break and get a prize) Free Library might be running something - we could tap into that and not reinvent the wheel. Maybe this is a library partners question. Scavenger hunt type of activity? What would students find fun? We may need to survey them -- could student council run a survey? Rich will talk about this with the student council.
Survey -- HSA could do a survey facing staff and guardians to see what the needs are -- Steph can work on this and send out a draft.

Election team updates - nominations are open until Friday / will round out the nominee list early next week and put together the election ballot -- Need to update this so that the contact info and child info is not required. Adam will talk to Dell.
